Official Sweepstakes Rules

The Pew Pantry Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by:

("Sponsor")

By entering the Sweepstakes, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding.

1. Sweepstakes Period

The period during which entries will be accepted is referred to as the "Sweepstakes Period."

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes in accordance with these Official Rules.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Entrants must be legally eligible to possess and receive the prize under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The following individuals are not eligible to participate:

  • Employees, owners, officers, representatives, contractors, or agents of Sponsor
  • Immediate family members of the above individuals
  • Members of the same household of the above individuals

The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Prize

The prize will be identified on the official Sweepstakes promotion page.

The approximate retail value ("ARV") of the prize will be disclosed before entry.

The winner will receive the advertised prize only. No cash equivalent will be provided.

Prizes are awarded "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

Sponsor is not responsible for manufacturer defects, recalls, modifications, or issues related to ownership or use of the prize after transfer.

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable or cannot legally be transferred.

4. Firearm Prize Transfer Requirements

If the prize is a firearm, the firearm will only be transferred in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The firearm will not be transferred directly to the winner when prohibited by law. The firearm must be transferred through a federally licensed firearms dealer ("FFL") when required.

The winner is responsible for:

  • Completing all required transfer paperwork
  • Passing any required background check
  • Paying applicable transfer fees
  • Paying applicable taxes
  • Obtaining any required permits, licenses, or approvals

Winning a firearm does not guarantee the ability to legally possess the firearm.

The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse or cancel a firearm transfer if the winner is prohibited from possession, fails a required background check, or if the transfer cannot legally be completed.

Firearm prizes will not be shipped or transferred to jurisdictions where the Sponsor determines the transfer is prohibited, restricted, or unable to be completed legally, including but not limited to:

  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • New York
  • California

This restriction may apply to any additional jurisdiction where applicable firearm laws prevent lawful transfer.

If the winner cannot legally receive the firearm prize, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner or substitute the prize with another item of equal or lesser value.

5. How to Enter

Eligible participants may enter through the official entry methods listed on the Sweepstakes promotion page.

All eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period will have an equal opportunity to win unless otherwise stated.

Sponsor reserves the right to reject incomplete, inaccurate, fraudulent, or otherwise invalid entries.

6. No Purchase Necessary Alternative Method of Entry

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

To enter without purchase, eligible participants may submit a handwritten entry containing:

  • Full legal name
  • Complete mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Name of the specific Sweepstakes being entered
  • A written request for one entry into the Sweepstakes

Mail-in entries must be received before the Sweepstakes Period ends.

Each eligible mailing is valid for one entry. Each entry must be mailed separately.

No mechanically reproduced, automated, or mass-produced entries will be accepted.

All entries become the property of Sponsor upon receipt and will not be returned.

Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of receipt by Sponsor.

7. Entry Restrictions

Each participant may only enter using permitted methods described in these Official Rules.

Any attempt to:

  • Use multiple identities
  • Create fraudulent accounts
  • Submit false information
  • Manipulate the entry process
  • Use fraudulent transactions
  • Interfere with the operation of the Sweepstakes

may result in immediate disqualification at Sponsor's sole discretion.

8. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Sponsor does not guarantee that any specific number of entries will be received.

9. Winner Selection

One potential winner will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received.

The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or a third party selected by Sponsor. Winner selection may be conducted by live stream in the Pew Pantry Supply Room Facebook group.

Sponsor's decisions regarding eligibility and winner selection are final.

10. Winner Notification and Verification

The potential winner will be contacted using the information provided during entry.

The potential winner must respond within seven (7) days of notification.

The potential winner may be required to provide:

  • Government-issued identification
  • Proof of eligibility
  • Proof of residency
  • Completed required documents
  • Tax documentation if required

Failure to respond within the required timeframe, failure to provide requested documentation, or inability to legally accept the prize may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.

11. Taxes

The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with receiving the prize.

Sponsor may issue tax documents, including IRS Form 1099, when required by law.

12. Privacy

Information collected during entry will be used for administering the Sweepstakes and communicating with participants regarding the promotion.

Participants may receive promotional communications from Pew Pantry unless they choose to unsubscribe.

Information will be handled according to Sponsor's Privacy Policy.

13. Social Media Disclaimer

This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, or any other social media platform.

Participants release all social media platforms from any responsibility related to this Sweepstakes.

14. General Conditions

Sponsor and its owners, employees, representatives, affiliates, advertising agencies, and partners are not responsible for:

  • Lost, late, damaged, incomplete, or misdirected entries
  • Website failures or technical issues
  • Internet or communication failures
  • Unauthorized access or tampering
  • Errors outside the control of Sponsor

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical issues, legal restrictions, or other circumstances affect the fairness or integrity of the promotion.

15. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless Liberty Laser Works LLC d/b/a Pew Pantry and its owners, employees, representatives, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, injuries, or expenses arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize.

16. Authorized Account Holder

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder associated with the email address used at entry.

Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of identity and ownership of the email account.

17. Governing Law

The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from the Sweepstakes shall be resolved according to applicable law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Official Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Requests must be received within sixty (60) days after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes.
